Totally random, I know, but here is what I'm thinking about right now...
1. How did I make it through an entire 26 years and a pregnancy with no heartburn only to start experiencing it NOW?
2. I love that my Christmas lights are up.
3. Should I serve dinner at Olivia's first birthday party? Or is cake & ice cream enough?
4. If something I ate for dinner triggered this heartburn, I'm never eating it again.
5. Can heartburn feel like a side ache? Right under your ribs? Like, almost in your rib cage? It hurts when I breathe... only on my right side. That's heartburn, right?
6. I'd rather be watching Nancy Grace or the news instead of Volcano, or whatever this show is called.

I had never experienced heartburn before, nor have I since, I was pregnant! My heartburn didn't feel like you described it...it was more like acid, burning, yuckiness coming up my throat and going back down all day and night long (sorry to be gross). It was seriously the worst thing ever!!! Anyway, hope it goes away for you soon!
you are so funny! went to banana republic tonight--totally thought of you the whole time!
I can't help with the heart burn situation but I vote yes for dinner for Olivia's birthday. You can do something simple. Do a little cake for her to trash. I have mini spring form pans that work perfect for that!
You are killing me. Sorry about the heartburn. I don' think I have ever had it as well. That's exciting you already have our Christmas lights up, It still doesn't feel quite like the holidays yet (dues to lack of snow). I don't know what Volcano (the show) is. I will take it, you don't really like it? :)
Good luck with the heartburn. I would weigh my decision on cake vs. dinner by the number of guest you plan an attending. But I like to be a hostess so maybe dinner? But I do agree with Becky up above, a simple cake (but cute of course) so she can make a mess of it, then another cake (or cupcakes) for everyone else.
Right side, under your ribs heartburn has me thinking gall bladder. Especially if you ate something that was pretty fatty. If it comes back again after another fatty meal, or if it's not relieved by antacids, you may need to head to the doc.
Yep, that is heart burn. I have had it since I had Sam and it sounds just like you describe it! Sorry, no fun! I have to take some meds for it when it flares up. I would not serve dinner, you are just setting yourself up for having to out-do yourself the next year. Cake and ice cream work out just fine!
Hear burn is the pits! I had it almost everyday while I was pregnant. I can't even tell you how many tums I ate! I can't believe it is time to start planning Olivia's 1st birthday! Where does time go? Doesn't it just make you sad how fast they grow up?
Well I would LOVE it if you and Wendi would come out and visit me. That was so fun in Philly. I do understand if you don't want to because it's not like there is anything great to see in Dallas... except better shopping? How could I forget how much I was bugged by everything being better in Texas. That is exactly why I cringed when Travis told me Texas!
I am SO SORRY! I HATE heart burn! I would just do cake and ice cream, then you don't have to worry about a nice, big dinner. You can just enjoy the party!!
Hey Megan and Tyler it's your cousin Stephanie. I have been meaning to leave a comment on your blog forever. I got your blog address off of Jordan and Jamie's. Your little Olivia is so adorable. I can't believe she is almost 1. Kylee just turned 1 and is a crazy wild climbing maniac. I have some of those climbing in the dishwasher pictures too. Anyway I hope you guys are doing good and hopefully i'll see you sometime soon at a family party or something.
alright I am so ticked. I can't believe that neither of us won the giveaway from Our Best Bites. I saw yr entry and figured at least one of us had a shot at the prize.
So I had heartburn with John the last 2 months of pregnancy. Not fun. The only thing I found that helped is to drink lots of water. Tons. All day.
I have done dinner and I have done just the cake and icecream. I say just do the cake and icecream. Less stress, less mess, and enjoy yourself. If you do decide to do dinner have every one bring something.
Hey Meagan,
It's Brianne....yes the Brianne from long long ago. Your daughter is so dang cute!! They grow so fast. My son Jace is 19 months and is so fun. I heard about your blog from Jen Putman (now Bates). I actually have one too (it is nothing spectacular) but it's private. E-mail me your e-mail and I'll invite you. It is ml_emd@hotmail.com
I'd love to see some of your freezer meal recipes!!!! Oh and can you freeze just any enchilada recipe? Our enchilada recipe feeds an army too and I always wonder if I could just freeze the extras.
