It's a... BOY!

I debated about whether or not to include an ultrasound photo, but I always think it's creepy to look at other people's ultrasound photos. Let's face it, they're pictures that only a mother (and father) can appreciate, not to mention that fact that most people can't tell what they're looking at anyway.

I couldn't handle the suspense any longer (patience is not one of my virtues) so I asked Tyler to call a local ultrasound clinic to see if they had any available appointments today. Sure enough, they had one at 6:30pm so we took it. It didn't take the tech long to get a good shot and she didn't have to say a word... Tyler and I both knew right away that it was definitely a boy!

This little baby hasn't moved around nearly as much as Olivia. I know it's still early to be feeling a lot, but I felt Olivia really early. She kicked and squirmed all the time, even at 14 & 15 weeks. But I haven't felt much with this one. Every once in a while I will feel a little bump, but usually only if I curl up while sleeping or sitting on the couch (I guess he likes his space?). Sure enough, he was just as still during the ultrasound. He moved his feet a little and gave a stretch during a big yawn, but overall he was really still and completely willing to give the tech a full view of his goods. Tyler was very proud of those "goods", by the way. Let me assure you that if I did post a picture you would definitely know what you were looking at! HA HA!

I am sure my brother is happy that another boy will finally be joining the family (Kyler is the only boy, with FOUR sisters, poor guy).

Tyler and I are both really excited. Tyler is getting Olivia in her pajamas right now and trying to teach her how to say "brother." Right now it sounds like "Ba-ba." The only problem is that I had plenty of girl names picked out, but I've never been able to come up with a good list of boy names. So, even though we have a couple that we like (which we're not sharing, yet) we're open to suggestions.

Congrats. That's so exciting that you're having a boy. I'm partial to the name Cletus. You should definitely go with that.

Congratulations! I am with you about posting ultrasound photos online, it is a little weird to me. We are having a boy too, and we struggled to find names that we agreed on, but we finally found a couple we both like, so hopefully one will fit. Good luck!

hee, hee...you could always use "Beck" (wink, wink) Just kidding, just thought it was funny since we talked about that a few weeks ago. So excited for you! I love boys, I am mostly scared to try for another baby because i really just want it to be another boy. I wouldn't know what to do with a girl. Congrats and if i hear of any names you could REALLY use, i'll send then your way.
