Easter

We had a pretty mellow Easter this year. For one thing, Olivia is still too little to understand much of what is going on, which is sort of nice. You know what I mean, she doesn't notice if I forget to put up Easter decorations or put off coloring eggs for so long that they just don't get done. And, best of all, she doesn't know if the Easter Bunny forgets to come. But, don't worry, he did finally show up. He was just a little late. Second, Olivia has been sick with a really bad cold. Yucky cough, gross nose, cranky, not eating... you name it, she's got it. I kept her home from church so we don't have any cute Easter dress photos. But, we did take her to Tyler's mom's house for the Easter Egg Hunt! The thought of her missing it really made me sad.

When Tyler was younger, the Easter Bunny always left a trail of candy from each kid's bed to their hidden Easter Basket & present. Tyler insisted that we keep up the "trail" tradition, so I put him in charge of it. I know she doesn't need the candy, but according to Tyler it wouldn't be an "Easter trail" without it. So, plain M&M's did the trick. There was only 1 M&M in each egg, but a few along the trail, too. She wasn't too interested in following the trail... she just wanted to eat the candy! She got some sidewalk chalk and a little set of plastic golf clubs (Tyler saw them and had to buy them for her).

Sorry, some of the photos are blurry.

Marcia (Tyler's mom) has the best playground in her back yard. Olivia loves to climb up with these stairs. When we're at the park, she is always trying to be like the big kids and climb up the slide. But she can't quite make it back up (she might make it one day soon, but I usually pull her off before she gets the chance). But, these stairs are more like speed bumps, and she thinks they're a slide. So, she slides down them and then crawls right back up. I really think she feels like she is going up the slide when she does it.
They look more bumpy in this photo, but the stairs are actually quite smooth. So, she slides right down!
