Swimming Progress...

Olivia can now roll to her back completely unassisted and float for a few seconds. Now that she's figured out how to kick her legs she ends up splashing herself and then panics a little bit. Next week they'll work on getting her to relax so she can float longer. They'll also work on getting her to spend more time swimming face down before she flips to her back. That way she'll learn to be able to swim to the edge instead of just floating.

Here is a little clip. After Olivia's 2nd ride on the "motorboat" you can really see her flip onto her back all by herself (you can see that her instructor is a couple feet away from her).

Keep in mind that this is Survival Swimming... so they are teaching her the skills she would need if she fell into the water.

**A few people wanted her phone#. If you still want it, email me at meggieloulou at gmail dot com. (Kristi... I couldn't get onto your blog to give you the phone#!)

That is amazing! She looks so cute sitting there on the board. She is such a mini-Meagan!

This is such a great idea. I think all children should be involved in this. She is too cute in her little swimmer.
