Hooray for Zantac! It seems to be working-- Olivia is spitting up a lot less as long as we can get her to actually swallow the medicine. She tries to hold it in her mouth instead of swallowing it. If she can get her mouth to cooperate, she'll spit it out, otherwise she gags on it and eventually swallows it. I can't tell if the rash is going away, yet.
I bought a blessing dress for her. There were some really pretty dresses but they were upwards of $400, YIKES! I have a tendency to spend more money than I intended and then later think, "What was I thinking?" So, I forced myself to be reasonable and found a cute and simple dress for $60. Olivia is so big already that I had to buy the 6-12 month size (yes, she is only 7 weeks old)! Ha ha ha. We're hoping to bless her on the first Sunday of February (Tyler's going to contact the bishop to arrange it).
As for sleeping through the night, well, it's getting better. She did really well for 3 nights because we kept her awake all afternoon and evening (I should say *Tyler* kept her up). But Saturday threw a wrench in her schedule. I went shopping with my mom and, well, she LOVES the car so much that it put her right to sleep. She slept all afternoon. Needless to say she wasn't even tired by the time 10:00 rolled around. So, we were up every 3 hours again last night. But, we're going to try again today. I've tried to keep her awake more during the day today. We'll keep her awake again this evening and hopefully we'll get more sleep!
The last of the contractors came to finish our basement the same day we brought Olivia home from the hospital, but we've been so busy the last 2 months that the garage seemed like a fine place to keep storing everything! But, Tyler couldn't stand scraping frost and snow off his windshield any longer, so he finally got the last of the junk in the garage back to its rightful home, well sort of. It's all stuffed in one of the extra bedrooms for now. Organizing that is a job for another day (or month). At least we can get 2 cars in the garage now! Thanks, Tyler!
I was thinking about what a great record of events my blog would eventually be, but I wasn't sure of the best way to get a hard copy of it and the images, but now I know! I found a cool website that will make a book out of your blogs. Check out the website at www.blurb.com. Cool, huh? So, I think I'll have one made at the end of 2008. With that being said, I'd better make sure I blog frequently and thoroughly so that my book is a good one! Even a small entry is better than none, right, Grandma? My Grandma keeps telling me to write down at least one thing every day. Well, I might not do it every day, but I do think she has some good advice! However, I am still "blogging without obligation"... because blogging shouldn't be looked at like it's a treadmill (click the link at the bottom of the right column).

Meagan,
Horray for your blog!! I love it and I love to hear about Olivia. I can not believe how big she is already! She is so adorable!!! I still need to see her in person. Maybe after I have this baby we can get together(I would say before but I feel like I would need a fork lift to get me anywhere). Yep, still waiting to have the baby! Does it ever end?? Well, keep posting and keep in touch! Soon we can arrange play dates and lunch dates!
Love,
Ash
