I took Olivia to the pediatrician today because she has this ugly little rash on the sides of her face. Turns out that it is probably due to her spitting up during the night and it getting all over her face and neck and staying wet for a while. Gross, I know. Luckily, nothing to worry about. He did give us an Rx for acid reflux, though. I explained that she spits up so much sometimes I wonder if she kept anything down! It doesn't matter how much we burp her, she still manages to spit up in her sleep. So, hopefully a little Zantac will help the spit up and the rash!
But guess how much she weighs?? She is a whopping 13.6lbs! She isn't even 7 weeks old, yet! Holy moly, she is a chunk.
She seems to think that her day starts at 6pm and then she stays awake until 2am! AHHH. It's a killer. But once she goes to bed she sleeps like a rock. So, last night we kept her awake from 4pm until 10:00pm in hopes that she would be tired enough to go to bed at 10:00. Well, it worked. She slept from 10:00 until 3:00am! That is 5 hours of continuous sleep! WAHOO!
It was hard keeping her awake, though. Good thing Tyler is so persistent... he had to do most of the work because it turns out that I am the softie (who would have thought?). If you didn't play with her constantly she would start nodding off to dream land. I didn't have the heart to keep waking her up, but Tyler managed to do it.
Well, my house didn't get cleaned today as I had planned, so I made a deal with Tyler-- if he'll keep her awake again, I'll clean up. Sounds like a deal to me! So, I'm off to start cleaning.
