This isn't the first time we've had this problem. The last 5 trips home from St. George have been this way (it started last spring). I swear it must be the gas in St. George. The Ken Garff dealership has looked at it on 3 different occasions and says they can't find anything wrong. They advised us to use the highest grade of gasoline, and only fill up at Chevron stations. Well, obviously that didn't solve the problem. And, sorry... but I don't believe that nothing was wrong with the car. I don't know anyone else that has problems like that!
So, when it happened again on our way home today, Tyler had had enough, and he said we were going to Orem to buy a new car as soon as we got home. He said it was too scary to have a car stall in the middle of an intersection when you have a baby in the back seat. And so, that was that! I've been wanting a Honda Pilot for a while, and now I finally had a good excuse to buy one.
I must admit that I am a little sad to see my Jetta go. I really liked it. But, I was so frustrated over this on-going problem that I was willing to move on. Besides, now that I have a 3rd row of seating I can fit my mom & my sisters in my car-- even with the baby's seat! And, I didn't have to give up my heated seats (once you have them you never want to go back!). I hope I don't regret buying an SUV now that gas is nearly $4 per gallon.
(I am not sure what all the spots are, so just ignore them)

YAY!! Congrats on the new car!!
I'm sorry you had to give up your jetta. It was such a cute car. But, it's like you said, it's a great excuse to get a new car. I love new cars! Have fun!
Fun! Sounds like you got a good one! Gotta love the seat warmers! I am jealous!
New cars are always fun! My sister in law had issues with her Jetta too! you are not the only one I know of. Looks like you have been busy...and looks like you come to st. george a lot. If you ever have time, you should email before and we should do dinner or something. It'd be fun to get to know you outside of the high school scene huh? anyway, really, you should let us know next time.

Go Honda!!! My friend Emily has a Pilot and I love it. That will be a great car. I am sorry that your Jetta had issues it was cute, too bad it wasn't very reliable.
That is so fun. It is always fun to get new things especially a new car! Hey I wanted to let you and your family know that we are blessing Joshua May 4th in Cedar Hills at 5 pm. If you could let your family know I would appreciate it. Who ever can make it we would love to have. It is going to be at Josh's sisters house so I will get the address for you when it gets closer. Have fun with the new car. I am sure you are going to love it!
Congratz! You'll love the 3rd row!
Maybe that means time for another lil' one huh?
he he he!
Yea new cars! I am such an SUV girl but I have to agree-the gas sitch does suck. P.S. Love the pics from St. George and I love that you use the word 'blow out' so freely. :)
Hey I wish I would have been able to see you in St. George but I am sure you spent most of your time out in the nice weather instead of indoors all day long! I did get to enjoy it though we just got home today! Mikey came down and we spent most of the week it was so nice! Nice new car I really want a new one and hoping the baby coming will be a good excuse! Lets get together again soon!
This is so funny because while we were in St. George, Mat said we need to get a Honda Pilot! So if we get one, we are so not copying! Ha! With all the room, it just means that you have to have more kids! He He He!
Hey Meg. I finally set up a blog page. I am still figuring out how to add some cute paper and such. Anyway, congrats on your new car. I am a little jealous. Keep in touch jorgensenfam3.blogspot.com
