Olivia's Room

A few people have requested pictures of Olivia's room, so I thought I'd post some today.

Let me tell you the story behind the blue walls (this is more for my record). Last year Tyler and I got a pretty good tax refund, so we bought a whole new set of office furniture (Pottery Barn's Bedford Collection). Tyler had wanted a nice desk for a long time, and we figured it was perfect timing. It had 2 desks, lots of drawers, and a lateral filing cabinet. I also purchased accessories for the room. It was going to be really cute. We painted the walls this blue-ish gray color, which was just like the room that I liked out of the PB catalog. Well, about 2 1/2 weeks later I found out I was pregnant... totally surprised both of us.

I felt that it was a girl from the very beginning, and so did Tyler. Once the ultrasound confirmed it, I seriously considered repainting the room, or should I say, having Tyler repaint the room because I was worried that I wouldn't be able to decorate around it the way I wanted to. But, Tyler promised me that if I tried to make the blue color work and ended up hating it, he would repaint for me.

Thanks to Babinski's (my favorite baby boutique) I found this super cute bedding that wasn't too frilly for my taste. While it is clearly "girl" bedding, it coordinated with my blue walls quite nicely. To be honest, I probably couldn't have matched a better shade of blue if I tried. I actually really like it. I guess it was meant to be!!

Her room turned out darling; I love the bedding - I agree, I couldn't go for the super frilly, girly stuff. Macy's room is painted green and she has cute red, black and green ladybug bedding.

What a cute room! I told Mat that if we ever have a girl, I want everything PINK with BOWS!!! Ha! Remember that, ok! I need to get more details on that digger cake when it's closer to his B-day! I can't think about it right now!

I'm not pregnant or anything, but I'm just planning for the future.
