Hogle Zoo

Last summer when I was about 10 weeks pregnant Wendi and I took Madison to the zoo. I remember seeing so many moms and kids. I know, go figure, it was the zoo-- of course there will be moms and kids everywhere. But that was the first time I remember looking forward to the time that I could spend the day having fun with my baby. There were a few tantrums, but most of the kids were having so much fun, and the moms actually seemed to be enjoying it, too. I remember thinking that the next summer I would have my own little one to take to the zoo. It seemed weird, and far way, but little did I know that it would be here before I knew it!

So, we decided to make a trip last Saturday since the weather was so nice. Olivia was really tired, so she didn't seem to be too excited. I don't think she had a clue as to what she was supposed to be looking at most of the time. However, when the animals moved around enough for her to really see them she watched them intently.

She loved the carousel. I was worried that she would cry, but she actually like it, especially when her "eagle" starting moving up and down!

The penguins were her favorite. There were quite a few of them and they moved around so quickly that she was easily entertained by them. She kept pointing at them as they would dive into the water, swim around, and then waddle back onto the rocky ledge.
The giraffes were also moving around a lot, making it easy for her to watch them. They're always my favorite! Tyler has had a really bad cold and the flu for the last week but he came along anyway (can you tell he doesn't feel well?).
Wendi, my aunt, Julie, my mom, my cousin, Maran, and Madison.

Meagan...LOVE the new background! I haven't been to the zoo in forever. I was supposed to take Kaite for her birthday but we never made it. Maybe next year.

We took Ellie for the first time to the zoo when she was Olivia's age, but she was far more enthralled with all the kids, not so much the animals...I'll have to tell Dan she liked the penguins. He loves them too.

I love your new header...I'm in need of a new one, especially with Ellie's new pictures...
