The Bow...

Olivia had her pictures taken today. It's amazing how much they change in only two short months! I couldn't help but think back to the first time we had her pictures taken when she was only 6 days old. She nearly slept through the whole photo shoot. Not this time, though... she was awake the entire time! She got a little grumpy because she wanted to go to sleep but every time the camera flashed or we moved her around she would start crying. The only thing that would keep her quiet was her binki, so her binki is in about 1/2 of the shots. Oh well.

Now, for the story about THE BOW. I picked out this outfit for pictures (see pictures) about 3 weeks ago. However, I kept putting off finding a bow. I knew there was a kiosk in the mall that had a some really cute "different" bows to choose from, so I went there on Saturday. Lo and behold, the kiosk was gone!

I know most of you are thinking that there are plenty of places to buy bows, but, you see, I had something specific in mind. I had seen these cute little barrettes with crocheted flowers on them. I knew they would match the shirt perfectly.

So, yesterday was my only day left to find the right bow. I went to the Quilted Bear, but they had nothing. I also checked Trendy Tots and The Veranda and neither of those "specialty" boutiques had what I was looking for, either. I was running out of time!! I knew there was only one place left (that I knew of, at least)... Babinski's. Yes, clear up on Foothill Drive in Salt Lake.

So, I drove 120 miles, round trip, in hopes of finding the right bow. Well, they didn't have exactly what I had in mind, but this bow came pretty darn close. And I figured I might as well make the trip worth it, so I bought a few more while I was there.

All for one picture. Silly me, I know. By the time she's in 2nd grade I'll probably just be happy if she picks out her own mismatched outfit and gets her teeth brushed for school pictures. And by my 4th child I'll be lucky to get their picture taken at all. But hey, she sure does look cute, doesn't she?

Oh, and by the way, Babinski's is the greatest baby store!! I try to avoid it as much as possible because I have a HUGE weakness for all things cute and little.

I won't get the photos back for a week or so, but here are a few pictures that I snapped once I got home. I love her little feet... those toes are the cutest things I've ever seen.

She is SO cute!! I love the outfit too! I swear that kiosk was there five days ago, I always thought they had the cutest stuff! I'm glad you found a bow that worked though...I can't wait to see the pictures!

Maybe it's because I have boys but that sounds like way too much effort for a bow! But she is super cute and the bow looks great! Mere called me and we really need to get together! She also said your baby was a doll!

She looks so much like you in the first picture you posted. I see Nelson all over her cute little face.
