It's Working...

Hallelujah! Hallelujah! My tactics are working... Olivia is finally getting her days and nights figured out! Last night she went to bed at 8:00 and she woke up at 7:30 this morning. But, to make it even better, she happily played in her bed until almost 8:30. She just laid there smiling at and talking to the butterflies hanging from her mobile.

I can't take credit for my new method, though. I read "Twelve Hours' Sleep by Twelve Weeks Old." I think love that book!! If you are interested in more info, click here for an article from ABC News .

I must add that she did wake up to eat twice during the night, once at 1:30 and again at 4:30, but we'll work on that later (according to Suzy Giordano I can't tackle it all at once). And who am I to complain? I had a couple of hours in the evening to do whatever I wanted! What did I do with my peaceful evening? Clean? No. Watch a movie? No. Spend quality time with my husband? Unfortunately, no. I was too tied up in 28 chapters of a love story that I found on a hilariously funny blog. Yep, that's right. I'm not a mushy or sappy person, but I couldn't stop reading it. It was so good. For those of you interested in reading it, click here. And Tyler fell asleep on the floor waiting for me to finish my reading, bless his heart (he left for work at 4:30am yesterday morning-- tax season, UGH).

Now Olivia is down for her first nap of the day... I put her into bed while she was still awake and she fell asleep without a peep! So, I am going to go shower and I just might be ready before noon! Wow, what a fabulous morning!
