The Bribes Start Early...

Olivia had her four month check-up today, vaccinations and all. UGH. That's no fun. I felt bad, so before we left I promised her that if she was a good girl we could go and buy her a new toy once we were done. Well, she did cry, but do you blame her? If I was stuck with three needles and forced to swallow some yucky medicine while lying in nothing but my diaper on a cold exam table I would cry, too. But, she must have remembered my bribe, 'cause once we left the doctor's office she was just as good as ever! So, we made a stop at Babies'R'Us to get this jumper (see below). Usually she loves to shop (yes, she's my daughter) but today she slept the whole time... even when I loaded her in & out of the car. That's unusual for her, but maybe she was just trying to score a few more brownie points so that I would let her stay up past her bedtime to play with her new toy.

She was so cute when we put her in the jumper. She cooed and squealed, and moved around. She didn't quite figure out how to jump, but she did twist herself around a few times. She would end up facing backwards and Tyler would try to talk to her and she would get frustrated 'cause she couldn't figure out how to turn back around. It was pretty cute.

As for her check-up, the ear infection seems to be gone. A few last doses of Amoxicillin and hopefully we can forget that it ever happened. She weighed in at a whopping 15lbs 13oz and measured 25". That puts her at 70th percentile for length, and 90th for weight. I always wanted a chubby baby! And I sure love her!

Meg she is so stinkin cute! I haven't tried those jumpers but my friends out here all rave about em. Do you know the weight limit? I don't know if JOhn is getting too big for them (he weighs in at a whopping 20lbs). I can't believe Olivia is already scooting around-she's a really determined little gal.

I think the weight limit is 25lbs. I wonder if you could find one at one of those "gently used" type of kid stores, or maybe a yard sale, if that doesn't gross you out. Then you wouldn't have to fork out $30+ for something he might not use for very long. Or, I guess you could just save it for all those other chillin's you are going to have, right?

The jumper was about the only thing that Macy actually liked to be in. She hated her swing, her bouncy chair, and every other contraption we tried, but she sure did love to twirl around in circles and jump around in the jumper.

Olivia is a doll and I love the babies the most when they are chubby!!

What a fun bribe! I'm glad that ear infection is better! Jumpers are so fun and I love the look that they give you when you put them in it for the first time! She is such a doll!
