Olivia's New High Chair!

No, I'm not feeding her solids, yet. But, she no longer likes the reclined position of her bouncer. Today she tried so hard to pull herself into a sitting position. She had so much momentum that she didn't stop... she folded herself right in half and about flipped out of the bouncer. She would have landed face-first on the tile floor if I hadn't caught her (the bad mother that I am didn't buckle her in... it's not a user-friendly buckle). Besides the fact that she wants to sit up, she also prefers to be at eye-level, not down on the floor. So, I thought that a high chair might be a good way to keep her happy while I get stuff done. Maybe I'll even get to eat lunch with two hands.

After our trip to Costco we stopped by Babies'R'Us and picked up this cute little high chair. She looks so little in it, but at the same time I can't believe she's big enough to sit in it. She seems to like it so far.

Notice that she is biting her bottom lip. She has started this new habit of "sucking" on her bottom lip. It is the funniest thing. It isn't just a bite or an occasional suck, but a continual slurping of her lip, as if it is a binki. She does it when she is awake and asleep! It is too funny! I love it.

Meagan,
I am new to this blogging thing (http://teford.blogspot.com) and came across your blog linked from another blog. It is so good to see what you are up to. Your little girl is a doll - being a mom is so much fun!!

Oh my gosh she looks so big sitting in there! So cute! I love to see your pictures and read your blog because it is like an insight of what is to come for Julia and I in a few months!

She's seems older to me than she really is, why? I love it when they sit in the highchair and hang out while you do stuff! She is so cute!
