Waiting for the Weekend...

I used to love the weekends because it meant a break from work. No commute, no meetings, no deadlines... a chance to get a way from it all and be at home.

I still love the weekends, but now I love them for a different reason. Now that I am home all day, every day, you would think that it's like having one giant, never-ending weekend. But it's not. It's boring. There is only so much cleaning I can handle (and believe me, it isn't a lot). My mom works, my sister works, and Amanda and Madison are in school. Most of my friends work or go to school, too. Yeah, it's great to be able to watch Oprah (haven't been able to do that since high school). And if I was still fanatic about Days of Our Lives I could catch that one, too (but I don't like it anymore... that was SO high school).

I now love the weekends because everyone else is finally home! Being home is great, but it's much better when you can spend time with family and friends.

I'm glad today is Thursday, because that means tomorrow is Friday. And that means the weekend is almost here!

My sister went through the same thing you're going through right now. She went out and got a job though which I don't imagine you're planning to do. I've heard once your baby starts crawling you never have time for anything. Have fun with that. :)
Let me know if you ever want to get together for lunch. I'm always up for it.

We totally need to get together during the week.

I felt the same way being home all day. When Dan finally got home from work I wanted to go to the store or out to eat...the last thing I wanted to do was stay home. Dan; however, wanted to stay home, and the last thing he wanted to do was go out!!

I feel your pain Meagan! Unless you go through it, you don't understand how mundane it really can be! Don't get me wrong, I love staying home but there is only so much excitement that can happen in a week! The more mobile they get the more you have to do. And when you get a 5 year old you never know what will happen! Maybe this means you should have another! Ha! Totally kidding on that part! I'm always home too so give me a call!

I know. My friends and I do lunch, play group, and things like that to help kill those extra long days. Soon ...you will feel more in the swing of things. More kids makes you extra busy. So just enjoy the easiness of it all, watching what you want to watch, doing a project with out really good helpers, eating what you want to eat...ya know those kind of things. Scrapbook...there is a time burner.
