Big Girl...

Tonight we tried spoon feeding Olivia some pureed peas & carrots (not the processed kind, but some that I made for her because they taste a lot better). Well, so much for all that hard work. She wouldn't even open her mouth! She would try to grab it off the spoon. At first I thought she wasn't hungry, but it only took me a minute to realize what she really wanted... she wanted to feed herself! So, I thawed some frozen peas and dropped them on her tray and she was as happy as a peach.

This is more of her super-hero wave. She's saying, "Hi," to Tyler. I get such a kick out of watching her wave.
Here is the double handed wave.

When she "waves" she usually makes these funny scrunched-up faces, which maks it look like she is flexing her muscles. At first she wasn't making the funny faces, so Tyler was trying to be funny and get her to copy his faces. Looks like it worked! She's really starting to understand the word "wave." Sometimes we have to show her what we want her to do, but she's starting to do it just by the sound of the word "wave" or "hi."

She is getting quite good with her fingers, however, a good portion of her food still disappears. Guess where it ends up? Here (in the high chair), and on the floor, of course!

She is so cute! I can't believe how big she is getting! I love it when they start feeding themselves, except the part where they throw it everywhere!!! Very cute!
