After we had finished eating some of the kids were getting a little bored with the play ground. Badminton kept them busy for a while, but that soon got old, too. I am not sure how it started, but I think someone threw water on someone else. Sai was wet and about to cry, when Marcia said, "Get 'em back," and she walked Sai over to the spout, helped him fill up his cup, and then proceeded to help him dump it on River. Then River started to cry, so Marcia helped him get Sai back. And before we knew it, it was a full blown water fight. There was a hose at the pavillion and that soon became a mighty powerful tool. Everyone was drenched, and who was in the middle of it all? Richard & Marcia. All of the grandkids thought it was so fun to get Richard wet, especially the little boys that weren't quite sure of the whole water fight idea (you know how it goes, it was fun until they were the ones getting drenched). Sai eventually got really into it and was loving it! Sai even chased Lance around trying to get him. We're not sure why he picked Lance, but it sure was funny.
How did Marcia manage to stay dry? I still can't figure that out.
Melanie's girls are just as crazy as Marcia (yes, it runs in their blood). They love animals, snakes, lizards, bugs, and any other creepy crawly thing. They have no fear! I remember my first trip with Tyler's family, we went to St. George while we were dating. While we were on a hike they found a dead lizard (they were only about 5 or 6 years old). They were so in love with that lizard that they put it in an empty baby wipe container and carried it around the rest of the trip. Gross, huh? But, they loved it.
And so, that is just a small snippit of Tyler's crazy family. I love them all, and I hope my kids are just as crazy and fun-loving as they are. But, they'll have to go to Melanie's house to play with snakes... sorry, I can't do snakes!
